I am interested in a deeper exploration of the spirit and meaning of Autism beyond diagnoses, appointments and intervention protocols. In the last 10 years Autism diagnoses has grown at a rate surpassing all major childhood illnesses combined. There is no single known cause or treatment. The increase is beyond scientific, diagnostic, social or evolutionary explanations. I am certain that autism holds spiritual gifts for our higher learning at this specific time in our spiritual evolution. There is simplicity and truth in what appears to be a complex issue. I believe that if we allow ourselves we can accommodate the sense and non-sense of autism as one truth and learn a lot about accepting and appreciating difference.
